Stir paint before use!

Always stir the paint before use. It's generally a very good idea with most paints. It makes sure that everything is homogeneous. It mixes in the little bit of solvent or water that might have separated at the top.

I thought I would share the time a painting contractor asked me if the paint should be stirred mechanically or by hand. This is what he did. Apparently this is how he's always stirred his paint!
